前回、石巻から帰った翌日、右足の第二指の付け根が突然痛くなったことをフェースブックに書いたら、「通風じゃないの？」と皆に言われたので、一応週初めに検査に行って来た。結果は微妙な感じで、確かに尿酸値は高めだけど何とも言えないとのこと。他には特に異常はなかったけど、まあ体には気をつけよう。

今週の初めは引き続き原口事務所で各省庁からのレクチャーを受け、8日から南三陸町に入る。今回の目的は、耕作放棄地を再農地化する補助金をO.G.A.for Aidに適用するため、町役場と申請に関する打ち合わせをするためだ。申請のために必要な情報や、条件などを整理し、まずは申請を出すための根回しといったところだ。基本的に申請を出す方向で動いてもらえることになったので良かった。必要な手続きや情報をPeterとAngelaに伝えて南三陸は完了。石巻へ向かう。
Other than that, my main activities were in Mr. Haraguchi’s office hearing from various ministry officials about the third revision of the 23 budget. Then I went to Minamisanriku to work on getting a fund for O.G.A.for Aid. They are reclaiming waste land to a vegetable field and there is a budget to support it. My main mission is to do some groundwork to make it happen. I talked to the people in the city office and then talked to Peter and Angela of O.G.A. and done with Minamisanriku, gone to Ishinomaki.
今回から石巻に拠点ができたのでそこに泊まる。今までは石巻に泊まるところがなくてわざわざ仙台にホテルを取ったりしていたのだが、石巻まで往復2時間の時間とお金がムダ。仮設のようなところだが、これで今後の活動がしやすくなる。
From this time around, I gat a place to stay in Ishinomaki. It’s good, because up until then, I had to stay in hotels in Sendai and drive up an down for 2 hours between Sendai and Ishinomaki. It was a big waste of time and money. Well, it’s not a gorgeous place, but it helps a lot.
